So, it’s Yves Saint Laurent, obviously. Which, right there, gives it some serious cred. But it’s not just like, their regular perfume line, it’s this *other* thing. Apparently, it’s supposed to be inspired by like, clothes? The whole “wardrobe” angle? I dunno, sounds a bit pretentious at first, right? But hear me out.
I saw some stuff about a “fresh floral fragrance” with bergamot and mandarin. Sounds…nice? I guess? I’m not always the best at describing smells, you know? I usually just go with “smells good” or “smells like my grandma’s attic” – no in-between. But then there’s this other one, “Babycat.” Now THAT sounds interesting. “Infinite seduction and eternal sensual presence”? Uh, yes please! (Don’t judge me, I’m only human).
And then, hold up, “Capeline.” Floral *and* spicy? With lily AND vanilla? That sounds… complicated. Like, I’m imagining a fancy lady wearing a giant hat, maybe at a garden party. Or, you know, something. I don’t know. My brain does this thing where it just connects smells to random images. Is that weird?
Okay, so anyway, the point is, it seems like this “Le Vestiaire des Parfums” is like, YSL taking their perfume game to a whole new level. Like, super fancy, super exclusive. And I’m suddenly feeling the need to, like, sniff all of them.
Oh, and I saw something about “Wild Leather” too. Unisex? Okay, interesting. I’m a sucker for a good leather scent. Makes me think of, like, cowboys and motorcycles. Which, admittedly, has nothing to do with YSL. My brain is just going all over the place, sorry.
And then there’s this part where they talk about “luxe parfums signature uniques” and paying “hommage à l’héritage de M. Saint Laurent”. See, *that’s* where it gets a bit much, you know? Like, I just want a perfume that smells good, I don’t necessarily need a history lesson.
But, I mean, I *get* it. YSL is a brand, they gotta sell the dream. And the dream is, you know, sophistication and luxury. And maybe a tiny bit of rebellion, because, YSL, right?
