Based on what I’m seeing from some random snippets, Bob’s Watches seems to be kinda a big deal in the pre-owned luxury watch game. They’re touting themselves as the “World’s First and only Pre-Owned Rolex Exchange,” which, okay, sounds impressive. Makes you wonder what *exactly* that means, though, right? Like, is it *actually* the ONLY one? I’m not entirely sure, but they sure do sound confident.
Now, the “near me” part is the tricky bit. The text doesn’t *actually* give me any physical locations. Bummer, I know. It just keeps mentioning things like “Rolex Watches New York” and “Dive Watches Summer Auction 2024”. So, yeah they do have a presence in NYC, but it seems you might be outta luck and have to mail it in.
What I *do* gather is that they’re pushing hard on the “Sell Your Watch” angle. They keep saying things like, “Looking to Sell Your Rolex Watch For The Best Price? Just complete the form…” like a broken record. Which, honestly, is a good thing if you *are* trying to offload a Longines or a Cartier or, you know, that Rolex your great-uncle Herbert left you.
And hey, that “Dive Watches Summer Auction” thing? That sounds kinda cool, actually. I’m not even a *huge* watch person, but vintage dive watches have a certain charm, don’t they? Makes you think of Jacques Cousteau and undersea adventures… even if the closest *I* get to diving is accidentally dropping my phone in the bathtub (don’t ask).
They also make sure to let you know in the “Rolex Watch Men” text that they’re “an independent watch dealer and is not sponsored by…” you know who. I guess that’s important for credibility, or something. I dunno, maybe Rolex gets touchy about the pre-owned market.
