I’ve seen ads plastered all over the internet, from Reddit whispers to Saks OFF 5TH screams. “Valentino Shoes! Get ’em fast, get ’em cheap!” *Cough* Yeah, right. “Cheap” is relative when we’re talkin’ designer shoes, isn’t it? I mean, I saw one ad shoutin’ about the “latest collection” on ABOUT YOU with free shipping and returns… okay, cool, that’s convenient. But the REAL question is: are they *actually* comfy enough to justify the price tag?
Then you get the whole “minimalist shoe” angle. Someone was talkin’ ’bout “7 Minimalist Shoes For Everyday Use (That Aren’t —-Encontre Botas Valentino na Netshoes…)” Wait, what? Botas Valentino AND minimalist? Seems like a bit of an oxymoron to me. Valentino is kinda known for being, well, *extra*. Lots of studs, lots of leather, lots of… loud. So, I dunno, maybe there’s a minimalist line I’m missin’ out on, or maybe someone just made a typo (happens to the best of us, lol).
And then there’s the whole “Valentino by Mario Valentino” thing at Saks OFF 5TH. Is that the SAME Valentino? Or is it like, Valentino’s slightly less wealthy cousin who also designs shoes? It’s confusing! Like, I’m not gonna lie, I’m kinda lazy when it comes to research. I just want to know if I’m gettin’ the real deal, you know?
