So, Mytheresa’s got ’em, right? And like, a zillion other online shops, promising you’ll “discover our finest edit of women’s…” blah blah blah. They *always* say that, don’t they? “Finest edit.” I’m just trying to find something that doesn’t make me look like I raided my grandma’s closet, y’know?
Apparently, Miu Miu is Miuccia Prada’s playground. Which is kinda cool. Like, Prada is all serious business, power suits and whatnot, and then Miu Miu is where she gets to, I dunno, release her inner quirky artist. I’m here for it. I mean, who doesn’t want a little quirky artist in their life?
Now, the *cashmere* Miu Miu scarf…that’s the one that’s tempting, right? Soft, luxurious, probably costs more than my rent, but still… cashmere. They always gotta hit you with the cashmere. It’s their trick. And it works, dammit.
And then there’s the logo thing. I’m so on the fence about logos. Like, sometimes it’s cool, a subtle nod to “Yeah, I have taste.” But sometimes it’s just… screaming “I spent too much money on this and I want everyone to know!” I guess it depends on the specific scarf. And maybe the mood I’m in that day. It’s a vibe thing.
The ‘statement-making’ part? Okay, look. A scarf is a scarf. It keeps your neck warm(ish). How much of a statement can it *really* make? I mean, unless it’s like, neon orange with flashing lights, I’m thinking most scarves are pretty… muted. But I guess a *designer* scarf… *shrugs*. Whatever.
