See, I was browsing the, uh, interwebs the other day (specifically, after vaguely searching for “fancy hats Canada” – don’t judge), and kept running into snippets about CELINE. You know, the brand. They got a logo, a pretty iconic one, actually. You can even download it in SVG format, apparently, if you’re *really* bored. And they sell hats. Hats with logos. That’s all fine and dandy.
But then it hit me. What about the ones that *don’t* scream “I spent a month’s rent on this head covering”? Are there even logo-free CELINE hats? And if so…why?
Like, think about it. CELINE’s all about that Parisian chic, right? The “effortless” cool girl vibe. And what’s *more* effortless than not shoving your brand loyalty in everyone’s face? It’s almost…counterintuitively luxurious. Like, “I can afford CELINE, so I don’t *need* to prove it with a giant logo.” Ya know? It’s a quiet flex. A silent “yes, this *is* obscenely expensive, but I’m too cool to advertise it.”
I mean, maybe I’m totally overthinking this. Maybe they just ran out of logo-ing machines one day or somethin’. Or perhaps someone in the design team was just *really* feeling minimalist. Who knows? All I know is, the idea of a CELINE hat whispering “I’m expensive” instead of shouting it is…intriguing.
And frankly, a little bit more appealing. I’m kinda over the logo mania these days. Everything’s got to be branded, plastered, in-your-face. It’s exhausting. A logo-free CELINE hat (if it even exists in abundance – and I’m not entirely convinced it does) is like a tiny act of rebellion.
Plus, and this is a big plus, it makes it less likely someone will try to mug you for your hat. Just sayin’.
Okay, so, where does this leave us? I guess, if you’re looking for a CELINE hat, and you’re feeling particularly anti-establishment (or just want to avoid attracting unwanted attention), maybe keep an eye out for the logo-less variety. It might be a unicorn, it might be a design choice… or maybe I’m just completely making this up. But hey, it’s something to ponder while you’re, uh, pondering hats.
